Doing Our Part for You and Our Community

Colonial Jewelers is proud to be a part of the Frederick community and believe we have a responsibility to do our part to support it. We've had the opportunity to donate to many organizations big and small all within the community we live in. It has always been a staple of our business to raise money and awareness for charitable causes throughout our community for the 75 years we've been in Frederick!

Pink Ribbon 5K

For 25 years, the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund has been raising funds through the Pink Ribbon 5K to put directly back into the Frederick Community. Over the last 25 years, the fund has raised over $3.5 million to benefit the Breast Center at Frederick Health.

A lot has changed over these 25 years but what hasn't changed is our Mission, to provide the very best technology and services for the early detection and treatment of breast cancer in our community!

Now would be the PERFECT time to show your support by registering to run or walk in the 5K race on September 29th at Hood College!

Em(brace)let Program

Em(brace)let Program

Started during the global pandemic in the 2020, the Colonial Jewelers Em(brace)let program started as a way to give back during a time when we were not allowed to open our doors but wanted to provide a way for people to give back. The first recipients of the Em(brace)let campaign - were all charities working diligently to provide services to our community during this time. Because of the tremendous success we started to make bracelets for other charities and have continued to expand the collection. 100% of the profits from the Em(brace)lets go directly to the charity.

The Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund was established in 1999 by Jeff and Patty, after Patty's diagnosis of breast cancer. After traveling to Baltimore for treatment, the fund was established to provide the most innovative options in early detection and treatment of breast cancer for the Frederick community. Since then, contributions from the Fund are helping save lives locally. Every dollar donated to the Fund is used for local direct patient care and there are no administration costs taken from donations.

Over the past 22 years, more than $3 million has been raised through community support for the Fund and it's events.
