12th Annual Pink Ribbon Gala

The Twelfth Annual Pink Ribbon Gala will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 7-10 pm at Colonial Jewelers, 1 S. Market St.  in Downtown Frederick.  This black tie optional evening is presented each year to raise money for the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund at Frederick Memorial Hospital.  Guests enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while browsing fine jewelry items donated by Colonial’s vendors for the silent auction.  All proceeds from the auction go to the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund for the early detection and treatment of breast cancer in the Frederick Community.  Since its inception in 2000, over $750,000 has been raised from the Pink Ribbon Gala.  The funds have been used to purchase state of the art diagnostic equipment, and enhancements to the Women’s Center for Breast Care at FMH Crestwood, including innovative biopsy technology and upgrades to create a more healing space for patients.
