DD

Hello, I’m D.D. I came to Colonial Jewelers 6 years ago as a Bench Jeweler; I do most major and minor jewelry repairs, and custom work. I’ve been goldsmithing for 22 years.
My first career was as a jockey, which I did for 30 years. I worked all over the East Coast, and loved horses and the racing world. Toward the end of my career, I became interested in Antiques and Antique Jewelry. Once I purchased a suitcase of antique jewelry and needed to find a goldsmith to fix up the jewelry. I began to think that I might like to be a jeweler when I retired from horse racing. I received my training in Goldsmithing and Jewelry Design at Harrisburg Community College. I’ve also taken courses at the New Approach School for Jewelers in Virginia Beach.
I love my job because I like creating beautiful things and making people happy. Colonial Jewelers is a great place to work, and I’m glad to be part of their team.
