Here are some Common Questions about Repairs
While we have the area’s largest selection of jewelry right here in our store and for viewing on our website, you may have a unique request or idea for your jewelry that requires a custom made piece. We have a design center onsite and offer expert guidance to design and create your special piece of jewelry. Please contact us to speak with a sales associate about custom jewelry.
We have two Graduate Gemologists onsite to appraise your jewelry. Appraisals are done at no charge for new Colonial Jewelers purchases. Appraisals for pieces not purchased at Colonial Jewelers take approximately one week to complete and the price ranges based on the size/complexity of the item. We are happy to give you an estimate for the appraisal fee when you drop off the item with us. The items are kept in our safe at all times and all appraisals are done on premises.
We have many years of experience working with insurance companies to assist in replacing lost or damaged jewelry. We can help make this experience less complicated or stressful for you by working directly with your insurance company.
We will gladly gift wrap your purchases at no charge.
Cleaning and Check-ups:
We encourage you to bring in your items purchased from us every three months for a complimentary cleaning and check-up to be sure stones are tight, prongs are not worn and your jewelry is otherwise in good health.
