Sorry guys – this is a women’s only event!
Leave the men at home on Wednesday May 8th and join us for our 4th Annual Girl’s Night Out event! Make sure you are one of the hundreds of women flooding the downtown streets of Frederick flaunting platinum blonde wigs, ruby red lips and bling that could light up a room!
This vivacious girls’ night out is not your average dinner and movie combo. Each woman purchases a “Marilyn Monroe kit” which not only contains a ticket to watch the movie “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” at The Weinberg Center, but also includes downtown restaurant discounts before and after the movie, entrance into Colonial Jeweler’s pre-movie wine reception, and the full Marilyn Monroe look-alike costume (minus the dress).
Within each kit women will find their essential accessories for the evening: platinum blonde adjustable wig, necklace, earrings, bracelet, ring, and ruby red lipstick.
The pre-movie wine reception at Colonial Jewelers will be between 6:00 and 7:30pm. Complimentary finger foods and drinks will be served while women can socialize and browse the jewelry cases. Following the cocktail party there will be a chance for you to strut Marilyn’s famous walk, as you work the red carpet to the private movie showing at The Weinberg Center. Right before the movie, there will be judges perusing the crowd to find the best Marilyn look a like who will be crowned during intermission. Afterwards there will be an after party held at JoJo’s Restaurant and Tap House on Patrick Street in Downtown Frederick.
Although this event is fun in and of itself, participants can enjoy the night even more knowing they are supporting the fight to cure breast cancer. All proceeds from this event will go to the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund at FMH where to date we have raised over $900,000.00!
We all know Marilyn can pull off any dress, any color, and any style. We ask however that when choosing your Marilyn inspired ensemble, you stay within the guideline of the four following color palettes; pink, white, red and black.
A special thank you to our judges and servers this year!
