Red..Not the Only Color of Love!
February 1, 2012 By Admin No CommentsIt’s February everyone, and love is in the air!! … Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I’m sure that all of you unavailable men out there are scrambling for ideas for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift. This year think outside the red heart shaped box, and go for something unexpected. Ditch the flowers and candy, and invest in something that doesn’t wilt or go stale. A nice piece of jewelry will be with her for a lifetime, and there are many different symbols you can find to express your love.
Purple is the color of February. Amethyst is the birthstone for this month and it has a beautiful, regal purple color, and due to abundance, it is very affordable. You don’t have to be born in February to appreciate the beauty of Amethyst. Many people find it to have a very upscale, dramatic look.
If purple isn’t your color, try to go for a great symbol to represent your love. Circles often stand for eternity and longevity, and I’m sure we all know that a diamond is forever! Celtic love knots are also a popular symbol that is found in many different forms of modern jewelry. These patterns can be found generally in both gold and silver, and sometimes with diamond accents.
Of course we can’t forget the good old fashioned heart shape! At Colonial Jewelers, we have plenty of heart themed items for the month of February because of their popularity for Valentine’s Day. If you want to stick with tradition and go for something red, Ruby jewelry is what you are looking for.
I know this seems like a lot of information, so if you need some help with your search for the perfect gift, stop on in to Colonial Jewelers. Someone from our friendly, expert sales staff will be happy to help make your life a little easier and ensure that your Valentine’s Day will be a success!!
