New trend in Wedding bands… Cobalt!
June 29, 2011 By Nancy 3 CommentsCobalt…the newest trend in alternative metal rings!
Cobalt is now favored over other alternative metals for numerous reasons, primarily it’s bright white appearance .
This high shine makes it most similar in appearance to 14K white gold, without the high price tag.
Cobalt is hypo-allergenic, 100% solid, and scratch-resistant.. Cobalt is also harder than platinum and will not break, shatter, or chip.
The luster and finish will not fade or tarnish in any way, and can be polished as needed.
Colonial Jewelers has a huge selection of Cobalt rings in stock so it’s worth a trip in to see.

“New trend in Wedding bands… Cobalt!” Replies
Hello – what if I were to change my wedding rings (engagement ring and wedding band) to cobalt? Would the original gold bands be possibly worth enough to pay for some/all of this service? Do many people do this? Thanks!
Hi! While Cobalt is a good choice for wedding bands, it is not a metal that can be used to set stones, such as Diamond. We accept gold as trade ins on most purchases and can give you a value when you come in. Hope to be able to help!
